skills. Uncompromisingly he is committed

quality education and cultivate
an aptitude for research in young
minds. He worked as Professor and
Head of the Bio-Technology in a
Technical Institute in Tamilnadu.
He holds a Doctorate from USSR Academy
of Science, USSR in the field of
Micro-Biology. He worked in various
capacities in some of the leading
Bio-Tech.Companies and Research
Institutes; visited various Institutes
and Universities in Europe as Government
of India Fellow. |

Dr.Johanna Rajkumar,Head of the Department of Biotechnology is a M.Sc ,Ph.D from the Department of Biochemistry, Post Graduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Madras. She has won several prizes including the general proficiency prize in school and was adjudged the best outgoing student in her M.Sc. She stood first in M.Sc among the University Departments. She was an athletic champion during her school and college days and has taught and guided several M.Sc and M.Phil students. Her research work was mainly on Artherosclerosis, Cardiovascular diseases and ulcers. She has done extensive work with various herbal formulations. She is a recognized guide of Anna University for M.S.(Research) and Ph.D. scholars. |
